After 50 years, since the initial founding of Yves Saint Laurent, the large Fashion House is up for a name change. Rumours have been circling for a while now about the name change but nothing had been confirmed until June 21. The label's re-branding is part of the new Creative Director ,Hedi Slimane's, makeover of the Fashion House. Back when Hedi Slimane was appointed Creative Director a statement explained he had "total creative responsibility for the brand image and all of its collections".
The YSL logo will remain the same while the name will be changed to Saint Laurent Paris. The label's re branding is expected to be introduced in the coming months.
