So, please excuse my absence from the blog. I have been missing in action...again! I've been so busy with work and school but I have finally made my way back.
I first really took notice of Burt's Bees and there products when I had to complete a school project on sustainability a few months back. They were brought to my attention again while watching a YouTube video on their Peach and Willow Bark Deep Pore Scrub(Pictured to the right). I purchased it and instantly fell in love on first use. Compared to many of my other facial scrubs, this one has a lot fewer beads and a more smooth and thick consistency. Being as I have very sensitive skin, products like St. Ive's tend to be too rough on my skin. This is why I love this product, it is gentle on my skin while still doing the job by removing all of my dead skin and excess oil. I highly recommend it for anyone who has sensitive skin or is simply just looking for a good gentle pore scrub.
The next product I purchased from their line was the Soap Bark & Chamomile Deep Cleansing Cream(Pictured to the Left). I have always been on the search for a good cream cleanser because as I previously stated I do have sensitive and dry skin. Cream cleanser's are good for people with dry skin as they add moisture to the skin as well as cleansing. This product definitely met my expectations, as it has a VERY thick consistency which really helps to moisturise my skin. Typically I would never been able to use a cleanser and not moisturise right after because my skin would be very brittle and dry but, with this cleanser I am able to do so. I still tend to have a few small dry patches but that mostly come's from my acne medication. Another lovely thing about this Cleanser is the great tingly and refreshing feeling you get once you apply it your face. It really helps to wake you up in the morning. Price wise it is a little bit pricer for a drug store cleanser but it is definitely worth the price and will last you a long time.
In conclusion, I will definitely be repurchasing these product's. I purchased both of these products, pictured above, from my local Target. The Deep Pore Scrub was around $10 and the Deep Cleansing Cream was around $13.
